A 5-day country exchange held in Tanzania brought together nearly 30 Adaptation Fund (AF) national implementing entity (NIE) partners from across the globe and about 20 NEMC and AF staff to discuss the theme of locally led adaptation. AF convened this country exchange in partnership with its national implementing partner, the National Environment Management Council (NEMC).

NEMC is implementing several AF-funded projects that are empowering vulnerable communities to adapt and build resilience to temperature rise and drought in innovative ways. Focused on sharing knowledge, best practices and lessons learned from AF-funded projects, the country exchange was followed by two days of project visits.
