[VIDEO] Innovative Water Treatment Project Using Desalination Plants in Namibia
The Adaptation Fund project in Namibia implemented by the Desert Research Foundation of Namibia (DRFN) is helping to improve water quality by utilizing innovative renewable power and membrane technology in the Grünau settlement and the Bethanie village, located south of the country. The project aims to build resilience of vulnerable communities and groups to climate change and increase capacity of government agencies to manage water supply planning and policy processes.
In this video, desalination plants have been built in the Grünau settlement to clean groundwater to produce drinking water that complies with the national standards.
