Aram Ter-Zakaryan has more than fourteen years of experience in environmental management and administration. Over the recent years he has been involved in the projects implemented by the Ministry of Nature Protection of Armenia with assistance of international organisations where his main expertise has focused on environmental protection, climate change and climate change adaptation. He has been inter alia involved in the development of the Second National Environmental Action Plan of Armenia and the Second National Communication of Armenia on Climate Change. Earlier in his career Mr. Ter-Zakaryan held the positions of the Chief of Staff of the Ministry and Director of International Cooperation in the Ministry of Nature Protection of Armenia as well as of the Senior Engineer in the Faculty of Biology of the Yerevan State University, Armenia.

 

His professional interests extend to environmental policy- and decision-making as well as international environmental relations. Mr. Ter-Zakaryan holds an M.A. in Natural Resources and Environmental Management from Ball State University, USA.
