The Government of Jamaica and the Adaptation Fund are helping women adapt to climate change and improve their livelihoods.
The Adaptation Fund programme implemented by the Planning Institute Of Jamaica (PIOJ), a National Implementing Entity of the Fund, seeks to protect the livelihoods and food security of people living in seven of the country’s 14 parishes by improving water harvesting and management, as well as erosion and flood control. The US$ 9.97 million project is funded through the Direct Access modality, pioneered by the Adaptation Fund.
