Climate Finance Evidence Series: Use of AI in Climate Change Evaluations @ Webex

AI has the potential to improve the quality and efficiency of evaluations. It has significant value in its analytical capabilities, given the increased focus on evidence-based and data-driven decision making, and the role of data as the engine of AI.

This webinar shares details on a recently conducted joint study on the use of artificial intelligence in climate change evaluations. The study explores the potential of AI, assesses risks and opportunities, and provides insights into future applications in climate change evaluations.

This is part of the new Climate Finance Evidence Series which explores key climate finance topics emerging from evaluations conducted by the four major climate funds as part of a broader effort in stronger collaboration and knowledge sharing between the funds to enhance access to and impact of climate finance.

The series is co-organized by the evaluation units of the four funds: the Technical Evaluation Reference Group of the Adaptation Fund (AF-TERG), the Climate Investment Fund’s Evaluation & Learning Initiative (CIF E&L), the Global Environmental Facility’s Independent Evaluation Office (GEF-IEO), and Green Climate Fund’s Independent Evaluation Unit (GCF-IEU).
